As a senior consultant, Simone Konrad works within the Gates Foundation as an immunization communications program officer on the POVAX (polio and immunization) PAC (program, advocacy and communications) team.
Simone has deep expertise in global health communications and advocacy, as well as health policy and economics, maternal and child health and domestic health issues. She joins GHV with years of experience leading strategic communications initiatives to advance health goals and equity around the world.
Previously, Simone served as a senior associate at Global Health Strategies, supporting global health communications and advocacy. This work included support for the Gates Foundations’ POVAX team, as well as work on NTDs, gender equity and market shaping. She has also supported communications efforts at the Gender Equity Unit at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and staffed Senator Shelly Hettleman in the Maryland General Assembly.
She has an MPH in health systems and policy from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a BA in community and global health from the University of Michigan. She currently resides in New York.
Outside of work, Simone enjoys hiking with her dog, playing volleyball and traveling.
