As Talent Manager at GHV, Ashima partners with the Operations team, Directors, and GHV’s network of consultants to anticipate and address partner talent needs. She leads recruitment of top experts and consultants for global health initiatives, drawing on her deep understanding of global health careers and expertise in public health, international recruitment, and executive search. A natural connector, she focuses on building high-performing teams that drive lasting impact.

Ashima brings nearly 20 years of experience in global health, spanning program management, technical advising, recruitment, and HR advisory roles. Her background includes work in HIV/AIDS prevention and maternal and child health, as well as full life-cycle recruitment for leadership positions on donor-funded health and development programs around the world. She is particularly committed to advancing women’s leadership and amplifying diverse voices that shape the future of development across Asia and Africa.

Before joining GHV, Ashima served as Senior HR Project Manager at PATH and held recruitment and executive search roles with IntraHealth International, Pact, and Isaacson, Miller. She began her global health career with PSI in Washington, DC, and Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Ashima holds an MPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and dual BAs in International Studies and Asian Studies from Emory University. She has lived and worked extensively across Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia, including in India, Japan, the United Kingdom, and Cambodia. She currently resides in Kaua‘i, Hawai‘i.

Outside of work, Ashima can usually be found chasing her toddler—ideally somewhere near a beach.
