Anstes Agnew

Anstes Agnew is a public finance and health expert with 13 years of experience in strategy, policy, and advisory work alongside senior leaders. Her areas of focus include digital health, public investment planning, aid and debt management, private sector development, health financing and human resources for health. She is passionate about finding ways for public finance to translate into impact in health and improve service delivery.

 

Most recently, with the Tony Blair Institute(TBI) Anstes led partnerships and technology pilots with governments to deploy digital systems for immunization. Prior to this, she was Country Director in Rwanda advising the Presidency and Ministry of Finance. She also served with TBI as an embedded advisor in the Ministries of Health and Finance in Liberia to support the delivery of health, education, agriculture energy, and roads projects. Anstes has extensive experience in providing technical and managerial support to Governments on health and public financial management issues, from the perspective of a donor (U.S. Government PEPFAR and Global Fund) and implementer (Clinton Health Access Initiative). She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School and BA in International Relations from Stanford University.
