At GHV, our work is driven by the expertise, dedication, and lived experiences of our team. Among them is Caitlyn Mitchell, an Engagement Manager whose dedication to advancing women’s health, rights, and leadership is reflected in every project she works on.

Caitlyn brings more than a decade of experience addressing issues across maternal, newborn, and child health; sexual and reproductive health and rights; and grassroots advocacy. Her expertise spans strategy development, project planning, and measurement and learning—skills she applies to drive impactful, evidence-based approaches to health and gender equity At GHV, she has supported partners including the Gates Foundation, the Partnership for Maternal and Newborn Health, PATH, and the International Confederation of Midwives-- helping teams refine their advocacy goals, sharpen messaging, and translate evidence into meaningful action.
Prior to joining GHV, she spent nearly ten years at the ONE Campaign, including as Director of Measurement, Evaluation, and Learning. She has contributed to influential policy briefs such as Silent Emergency: Women Dying to Give Life and additional analyses on advancing maternal and newborn health across sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
Caitlyn’s work is grounded in the belief that centering women, whether through women-led care, midwifery leadership, community-driven solutions, or the protection of sexual and reproductive rights, is essential to building healthier, more equitable societies. As global progress on women’s health and rights faces mounting pressures, her ability to navigate complexity, synthesize evidence, and elevate diverse perspectives ensures GHV continues to meet this moment with rigor and purpose.
“Becoming a mother and bringing my three children into the world was one of the most profound and transformative experiences of my life — both beautiful and deeply challenging. Even with the best care and support, those moments tested and changed me in ways I could never have imagined.
I’m deeply grateful to work in women’s health — helping make the journey better for new mothers, young women, and all who deserve compassionate, continuous care. Every day, I’m inspired to turn bold goals into meaningful action, even in small ways that make a lasting difference for women.”
Outside of work, Caitlyn finds joy in her wild garden, spending time outdoors with her family and cultivating the same sense of care and curiosity that animates her professional life.
