At GHV, we are continuously strengthened by colleagues whose experience, wisdom, and deep commitment to equity shape the way we work with partners around the world. Susan (Sue) Fox, exemplifies this blend of expertise and heart. With more than 20 years of experience in global health, particularly in sexual and reproductive health and rights, including HIV and family planning, Sue brings both strategic clarity and a steadfast focus on the people at the center of every issue.

At GHV, Sue has supported a wide range of policy, advocacy, and communications teams at the Gates Foundation and has led projects for diverse organizations, including Marie Stopes International, PATH, and the World Wildlife Fund. Known for her excellence in strategic planning, program implementation, and project oversight, Sue is also a trained journalist, bringing strength in research, writing, and storytelling to each assignment. Her ability to transform complex information into compelling insight is part of what makes her guidance so valuable to GHV and to partners navigating multifaceted challenges.
Sue’s career has spanned continents and sectors. She has overseen a strategy and team delivering direct service delivery in primary health centers in Mozambique for Absolute Return for Kids, and she developed and implemented a global initiative on non-governmental organization accountability and good practice on HIV hosted by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Sue has worked across multiple African countries and lived in South Africa and Mozambique. She now resides in Argentina, continuing to bring a global, people-centered perspective to all she does.
“I believe in the role of advocacy in meeting the challenges of today and in building a pathway to a healthier and more equitable tomorrow.”
Outside of her consulting work, Sue is deeply involved in the birth community and can often be found teaching prenatal yoga or supporting families as a birth doula. Her grounding presence, generosity of spirit, and talent for guiding others through transitions—whether personal, organizational, or global—are reflected throughout her work at GHV.
