Kodi Barth

Kodi Barth is a media and development consultant with 21 years of work experience. He is a copy editor at GHV. He has edited annual reports for New York-based development agencies, including the International Disability Alliance, and consulted for UNICEF Division of Communication in New York and Nairobi. He has led internationally funded media projects to increase public access to crucial and conflict-sensitive information in Kenya, where he is a guest columnist at the weekly Media Observer, a publication of the Media Council of Kenya.

Previously, Kodi taught online journalism and news writing labs at the University of Connecticut and the United States International University-Africa. As a journalist, he reported from New York, Switzerland, Russia and Tatarstan, and Kenya. He was a correspondent for Catholic News Service and copy editor for international stories at their Washington, D.C. headquarters. He is published in TheChristian Science Monitor, CatholicNews Service, NYC24.com, The Morningside Post at Columbia University and all major newspapers in Kenya. He was public editor for the The Star, a Kenyan daily, and deputy editor at The Seed, a monthly magazine for missionaries in 26 countries.

Kodi holds a Master of Science from Columbia Graduate School of Journalism and a Master of Business Administration (Project Management) from the University of Texas at Dallas.
